Feb. 20 / 2009
Re: SEP Community Workshop 2009
I take great community pride and personal pleasure in extending to you an invitation from our SEP Community Workshop 2009 volunteer committee. Yes watershed stewardship, it all happens here in Maple Ridge, especially during the May 15–17 / 2009 community workshop celebration and weekend event. We hope that you will be able to share this special time and unique salmon enhancement program – watershed experience with us over the 3 days.
The organizing committee invites you and your family to participate in the Maple Ridge, May 15 – 17 / 2009 - SEP community workshop weekend and help with “sustaining the spirit”, which is the theme of the weekend. You may wish to visit one or more of our area watersheds, the Allco Hatchery or the Bell – Irving Hatchery, tour the Alouette River with members of ARMS or experience Kanaka Creek with KEEPS, or the Stave Valley Wetlands or take the Canoe Trip on the Fraser River from Mission to Kanaka on the Sun. May 17, or just sit and paint a fish with friends.
We invite you to share, participate, and take in one of the educational sessions during Saturday at Thomas Haney Centre. Experience first hand the network of connected and knowledgeable partners, volunteers that make the time, walk the walk, all about “sustaining the spirit”, here in beautiful Maple Ridge, B.C. Join the SEP Community Workshop 2009, celebrate and share in our community achievements and successes.
The SEP Community Workshop 2009 committee appreciate your awareness and support of watershed stewardship activities in the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows area. We look forward to seeing you during the SEP community workshop 2009 “sustaining the spirit” in Maple Ridge.
