Jack Minard is the executive director of both the Tsolum River Restoration Society (TRRS) and the Comox Valley Land Trust (CVLT).
Jack is the chair of the Local Government Implementation Team for the Comox Valley Conservation Strategy's (CVCS) Community Partnership. Jack stays very busy promoting and lobbying for proactive, interconnected landscape level ecosystem protection on a cooperative regional basis with elected officials and municipal and Regional staffs.
Jack is a long time resident of the Comox Valley, having moved from Vancouver to Black Creek in 1964. In these executive director roles, Jack manages teams providing leadership and coordination of all aspects of activities including administration, projects and education.
Jack has worked in many aspects of fish culture, restoration and enhancement. He remains involved as the current Chair of the Salmon Enhancement and Habitat Advisory Board (SEHAB) serving the 20 – 30,000 volunteers in the province. Jack supports volunteerism by volunteering himself on projects, community initiatives, SEHAB and with the groups he works for.
Through his work with the stewardship and enhancement communities Jack believes in bridging people and organizations and finding solutions in partnership.
